Elevate Aircraft Seating is excited to welcome back our Summer Internship Program and is seeking a Planning Intern to join our supply chain team in Huntington Beach, CA. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for students eager to gain hands-on experience in the aerospace industry while working alongside experienced supply chain professionals on projects that help support the production and delivery of business-class aircraft seating.
Our 10-week internship program runs from June 1 to August 14 and is designed to provide a well-rounded experience that combines real supply chain work with mentorship, networking, and professional development. Interns will engage in leadership roundtables, cross-department tours, skill-building workshops, community volunteer activities, and conclude the program by presenting their projects to company leadership.

JOB SUMMARY
The Planning Intern supports material planning, production scheduling, and supply chain coordination within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on experience with planning systems, inventory management processes, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The intern assists in monitoring material availability, updating planning data, and supporting production schedules while contributing to process improvements and overall operational efficiency.

- Assist in creating, maintaining, and updating production schedules and material plans to support manufacturing objectives.
- Support planners in tracking material shortages, monitoring work order status, and reviewing supplier delivery performance.
- Maintain and analyze MRP data within ERP systems to help ensure accurate and timely planning information.
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, quality, and logistics teams to help resolve planning discrepancies under supervision.
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis to support planning activities and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and metrics related to inventory levels, on-time delivery, and production status.
- Participate in root-cause discussions related to material availability issues and contribute process improvement ideas.
- Document standard work procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or related efforts).
- Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.
- Perform additional administrative and project-related duties as assigned.
- Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Preferred Knowledge / Skills:
- Track record of academic excellence and self-motivation.
- Strong passion for and interest in the aerospace industry.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
Hourly Rate Transparency: $25 per hour
Schedule: 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday (40+ hours a week)
